After graduating from architecture school, Mike Koubou spent several years illustrating educational children's books for a publishing house. He later transitioned to independent freelance work, focusing on his own artistic projects. His style blends retro aesthetics with whimsical and surreal elements, often featuring imaginative characters and nostalgic textures. Today, he shares his creations through prints, apparel, and digital platforms, cultivating a distinct visual identity that resonates with fans of vintage and conceptual illustration.
